A huge thank you to my dear Alex for voicing Grandpa Whiskers for me! He read those strange lines with absolutely zero context and still absolutely killed it! xD

I am gravely upset that there is not of video backlog I can watch /lh You're videos are so high quality and you are so eloquent and your personal anecdotes have been so enlightening to the topic and your views on it. Absolutely stunned that you don't have a ton of subscribers because this is all just so good.
Your analysis and thorough explanation of this game are wonderful, I’m so happy I found your work ❤
This was such a great analysis and interpretation of a game ive only heard talked about as horror. I havent played it myself (just dont have time to be playing much rn) but i never wouldve guessed the lovecraftian abomination that craves flesh would have such poignant dialogue. And i love the fact that everything it says fits easily as being processed and regurgitated back entirely from Adriannes mind and desires. Im not sure i would've noticed the parallels between her and um. Whiskers😂 – both of them doing whatever is necessary to survive and improve their situation. It's giving me some feels on what we find monsterous versus palatable and who we tend to empathize with. One must imagine Whiskers happy lol
Well should have watched that 3 days ago, when it was first suggested. Or maybe I need it now, don't know. But wow. It was a thing.
"trauma teaches children that feelings and desires are simply inefficient, love is not enough, and that the warmth and nurturing [one] yearns for must be earned through endurance, self-sacrifice, and never given freely" OWWWWWW that HURRTTTTT
i am loving your videos,
your narration, your presence, and your way with words.
utterly calming and comforting to listen to at night time, or when feeling somewhat vulnerable.
i recommend you "The Path" (Tale of Tales), i would really be interested in your thoughts about it.
Your voice is perfect for this, giving me that ASMR. Subscribing immediately!
I never really got into this game. I remember some of my favorite LPers picking it up years back but I don’t even think I watched their videos all the way through. I’m so glad YOURS was the first one to take my hand and take me through this darkly hopeful experience. And I’m so glad that now there are so many new friends here in the comments who finally get to see YOU. Not to mention me getting jump scared at 34:47 by THE MAN HIMSELF 😂
This is very good video! Nice work!
it is unreal how this video has not been viewed more… this game is great, ever since i saw alphabetagamer play it!!
Playing this game made me wish I could’ve changed my parents too. I never had a connection with my own grandparents due to thousands of miles of distance and a language barrier. Growing my grandpa is one of my favorite games ever
the elements of childhood isolation, an adult trying to understand the problem but fundamentally missing the mark and failing to help, the idea of being unable to stop parents from arguing and turning to fantastical ideas to cope all hit so close to home. this video gave me a lot to think about
insanely good horror analysis from such an underrated channel. i’m surprised how little subscribers you have, your writing is excellent and unnerving 🙂

VIDEO MADE ME CRY 10/10
Glad I’m not the only one who thinks about this game from time to time.
Oh, you're about to blow the FUCK up, dude (metaphorically, not a bomb threat). New high-quality spooktuber to listen to while picking things up and putting them back down at the long day factory? In this economy? Who approved this?
Edit: I say "spooktuber" but the fact that you're doing actual in-depth, well-researched analysis from your own unique perspective, and not just regurgitating verbatim the contents of the media you choose to cover, is really just so rad. Please keep it up for as long as it brings you fulfillment.
Stories of that explore the parentification of children resonate so deeply with me, i love when horror handles it nicely and it doesn´t tie it in a neat bow of "but the caregivers then were nice and all was well!" because a child doesn not go back once they are put in a role where they had to grow up quickly
i feel like the german fortnite cola kid whenever I find a new good gamer essayist he'll yeah
It's possible that Whiskers was manipulative with the Dr because he assumed it would try to manipulate him
Im only 20 minutes into the video and I can say that so far this video has been an amazing analysis of this game. I didn't even know it existed before, its aesthetic is really unnerving and the main themes are something that I can (sadly) resonate with.
Being in a Latinamerican family means (more often than not) being really close with the concept of generational trauma…
Unlike Adrianne, I do have a close relationship with my mom. I feel lucky because thanks to her I learned the way to be able to break that cycle, yet I can't help but feel sad about the rest of my family and how disfunctional and unhappy they are, I wish there was a way to help them, because they too where once children like Adrianne, that only wanted someone who understood them and showed them some compassion.
I feel like we need more games that talk out loud about this kind of theme, because it can make those who have gone through a troubled childhood feel seen and heard… Well, at least I know it made me feel like that :'3
Edit: After watching the end of the video I got so emotional by hearing you say you too felt seen, and reading the comments I can't help but cry TT
You really cut to my core with that conclusion. Very apt description from both you and the game and I can see why you like it so much. Kodus
pleaseee do an overview of kitty horrorshow's games, you would do her stuff justice in analyzing it
I'm so lucky to have come across your video!
❤
Everyone's out here talking about how awesome this video is, & I do agree, but can we talk about your channel name??
'Nightmoire' is a very fun word to say out loud, thank you for that 😂
Also, keep up the great work. Happy to have found another in-depth analysis & recap channel for games & media I wouldn't otherwise have time to visit myself! No doubt you're gonna blow up at this rate. Can't wait to check out your other stuff later!
Really liked this so much. The end made me cry
Great video! Insightful commentary and I love your hair and makeup 🖤

Wow amazing analysis and breakdown of this game! This is my first video of yours ive watched, and its a great one – truly its interesting and tragic and maybe a bit hopeful for the protag to take initiative and shape a better future for herself. Even though its sadly born out of necessity or desperation. That deep wish of hers to live a happy and loved life
