Why Impepho Is Sacred to African Healers



Traditional African Healer, Zola Xhashimba, explains why Impepho (African Sage) is sacred to African Healers.

Impepho, is a medicinal herb indigenous to the Eastern Cape of South Africa and has been sacred to the African people for thousands of years. In South Africa, Impepho is known as a healing plant with antibacterial and antiviral properties. When burned in a way similar to incense or sage, it eliminates odors, cleanses the air and provides a calming effect to those who use it.
