Why Humanity Exists — Osipov

*What This Insight Reveals*
This teaching uncovers a truth we rarely pause to consider:
we cling to life with absolute desperation —
yet forget to ask why life was given to us in the first place.
A person facing death would surrender anything just to keep breathing,
showing how deeply we sense the value of existence itself.

Osipov explains that life is not merely survival or endurance.
According to Christian revelation, humanity was created
not for emptiness, not for random existence,
but for a state of fullness so profound
that Christ Himself called it the Kingdom of God.

Human beings were made for a kind of good
that satisfies the deepest longings of the soul:
the hunger for truth,
the longing for beauty,
the desire for joy that does not fade.
To understand this is to understand why humanity exists at all —
to receive the good that corresponds to the image of God within us.

  1. This man said that in the face of death we would trade everything to stay alive. True. But why would religious people behave like that if they know that they will go to heaven, that there's eternal life in their beliefs? Because deep down they know it's a lie. Life is unique, precious and it's all we have. There's nothing more after death, no afterlife.
