Most religion teaches their followers to not forcibly convert people. The ones that are doing that (Extremists Muslims, Avengelical Christians, etc) are simply to stupid to actually realise their own fucking book's teaching

In Islam a person is a "disbeliever" while committing a sinful act… But then we believe in turning back to Allah for forgiveness. One of the greatest wisdoms in Islam is that it recognises everyone will slip repeatedly. The challenge is to try your best to avoid slipping and then, when you inevitably do, to turn back to Allah as quickly as possible.
There's also a difference between religiousness and belief. Religiousness is the act that comes after belief and is maintained through practice. Like gymbros… Everyone believes that going to the gym makes you buff. Only those that do it regularly and consistently get the benefit of it. But those who don't train still believe what training achieves and their belief is valid.
