People have done this a lot, yet it has pushed people farther away and made them despise religion due to this strategies extremism, in turn has made the genuine believers have more of a lighter approach. this argument is very surface level thinking imo.
You must not have religious friends. Religious people dont really be around non religious people too often if they can help it because their personal ideologies and internal dialogue make it hard to be around nincompoops
Religion vs spirituality; you can be part of a religion but not be truly spiritual, and you can be spiritual but not part of a religion. You can also be both religious and spiritual ofc
I mean she's right. But what she does not recognise is that some people are being polite burning inside with the belief, just reconciled that others won't accept nor the faith nor them if they'd acted unacceptable.
She's not wrong. People talk about being big religious folk but then do NOTHING about the Religion.
I don't like religious folk but I respect the ones who are of the faith. The windowviewers or the noncomittal can go screw themselves if they try to bogart their clubhouses at me.
Well, if the fundamentalists that are blowing shit up are actually religious, that means that they sending the people they want to get out of hell down to hell, meaning that they aren't really believers either.😂
Most religion teaches their followers to not forcibly convert people. The ones that are doing that (Extremists Muslims, Avengelical Christians, etc) are simply to stupid to actually realise their own fucking book's teaching
Her last point is actually quite inspired but still off the mark from an islamic perspective…
In Islam a person is a "disbeliever" while committing a sinful act… But then we believe in turning back to Allah for forgiveness. One of the greatest wisdoms in Islam is that it recognises everyone will slip repeatedly. The challenge is to try your best to avoid slipping and then, when you inevitably do, to turn back to Allah as quickly as possible.
There's also a difference between religiousness and belief. Religiousness is the act that comes after belief and is maintained through practice. Like gymbros… Everyone believes that going to the gym makes you buff. Only those that do it regularly and consistently get the benefit of it. But those who don't train still believe what training achieves and their belief is valid.
Religion everywhere is just intentional ignorance for the sake of self righteousness and bigotry. Everywhere you go the most religious people are the most ignorant and bigoted.
Lukewarmness is actually written into jewish faith. According to it whoever is not jewish could stay not jewish and that would be perfectly fine for them.
Shes 100% right. There are people who wears sexy clothes and go clubbing, the next morning go preach at church. Nothing wrong with both, they are just not combineable.
Nah, she's full of shit. Absolutely no one truly believes religion. The louder they are the less convinced
Judaism isn’t a universalizing faith, so it’s like the only Abrahamic faith where you could believe it in a chill way
Sounds like she is virtue signaling 😅
yea if I knew my friend or family was going to be tortured for eternity i would do everything in my power to convert them.

It makes sense..
Dont give them ideas
She’s right you know.
You ever see the guys with the signs on street corners? You think they’re winning a lot of people over…
Jordan Jenson. Telling it.
This might be the worst take I've heard yet. She just wants people to be unhinged to prove their faith lol. So like… genocide?

That's why being religious isn't the way…it's a relationship
Such an honest lady !

She is so violently right

Hey Jordan, how's my best friend Nick? Also I'm gay.

Something like that
I feel horrible all the time I don't share the gospel more. I think America is so closed off so Americans find it hard to tell anyone
based
That was unhinged and all so real 😂
this woman cooked
I like this person
Pmo
This only applies to abrahamic religions though.
As Muslims we are not allowed to force people into religion.
This is absolutely the 100% saneest take.
