When Korean War veteran and railroad engineer Jeff Warren (Glenn Ford) returns home seeking peace, he is drawn into a dangerous affair with alluring Ellen Simmons (Gloria Grahame), the unhappily married wife of violent yardmaster Carl Buckley (Broderick Crawford), and as passion, jealousy, and blackmail boil over in the shadows of the rail yards, betrayal drives them toward a deadly collision in Human Desire (1954)—a tense, noir-drenched thriller where lust and revenge ride the same track to ruin.

A Terrific movie. A Truly interesting story.I was impressed with the Cast Actors. Didn't know of Broderick Crawford, but Now,he is unforgettable,as such a Menacing and Scary character, and he looked it right from the start.Gloria Grahame, was very convincing.I knew straight away that with Glenn Ford and Gloria Grahame,it was going to be a Good movie. Another Good movie, from Stream City.

Man,Broderick plays a great drunk! Anybody else notice the funky lamps/ shades in all these old movies?! Heh heh
Glenn Ford was certainly a tremendous actor❤❤ not bad looking either

I felt the movie was coming to an interest, I was so curious to know the end. Unfortunately no… sad😔
What a sucky ending
39:01 – “You look like a quiet afternoon at the teahouse of the rising sun”. 2 yers later Glen Ford is in a movie titled – The Teahouse of the August Moon (1956)
How did Broderick Crawford get away with murder? I thought before the production code loosened up you always paid for your crimes?? I'm confused.
I love everything about this era's movies; the way women dressed; their cute apartments, the handbags…
If you like Broderick Crawford and if you aren't familiar with Judy Holliday, do yourself a favor and watch ' Born Yesterday ' Kind of a screwball comedy with William Holden also.
Great film!!!
VERY SAD STORY. I HAVE SYMPATHY FOR ALL CHARECTERS OF THE FILM DESPITE THEIR CRIMES.
I will watch any movie with Gloria Grahame. ❤
Check out the sordid life of Gloria Grahame on the internet. Oh, my.
Good movie with a really stupid ending whatever!
