Straight up; medicine can heal the body, kill the bacteria. But another good part of healing is the rebound, and the emotional aspect. Helping dispel the misery and hopelessness of injury or illness can indeed help them heal physically- if only because it lowers the stress and cortisol levels which can disrupt the immune system. You feel protected, healed, or supported? It can go leagues to help you actually heal. Wild stuff!
