I love the core sentiment but the idea that Buddhism is primarily a rational and practical philosophy without many supernatural aspects is fundamentally incorrect. That is a Westernization of Buddhism. Genuinely just fall down the rabbit hole of Mahayana Buddhism on Wikipedia and you'll start to see it.

Having grown up Christian and being Agnostic for the last almost decade, who cares what you believe in. My belief is that as long as you aren’t imposing your belief in a way that negatively affects the world around you, have at it.
To say that Buddhism "doesn't have a lot of supernatural aspects to it" displays a profound ignorance of Buddhist cosmology.
Atheistic Spirituality sounds perfect for my case.

Spiritualism came before religion. Religion is humans' way of trying to explain spirituality. I am a spiritualist, not a worshipper of religion. Religion is a tool to help you be a better person. Not something to use to separate people and attain power. Well, shouldn't be anyways.

The fact that western atheism is mostly just an anti Christian position rather than being anti religion or spirituality prevents it from being anything more than what it currently is.

Wild how many trolls found this comment section so quickly lol. The moment anyone says they don't believe in god or religion, they have to make sure they can tell us we're wrong lol. Rhett invited her to be a guest because there are a lot of us, post deconstruction, that miss certain aspects of our previous religion without the dogma or insane beliefs and rules so this is more for people like us. It's not really meant for people who still believe. I am guessing it doesn't really matter because built into your religion is likely something that requires you to try to 'save souls ' or 'share the gospel ' it something similar. Been there, done that, and am so grateful that i left it behind ❤
Atheist spirituality is just spirituality which precedes religion. Basic Spirituality isn’t about allegiance to some entity or restrictions to guarantee an unknown existence after the one you should actually be present in. Spirituality is about undoing, diving, discovering, and communing with the natural consciousness around you.
