Christianity isn't a religion, it's a relationship. Eternal life is becoming intimate with God (Jn 17:3).
So I'm not religious either.

I feel like she was addressing people who say they are more spiritual, it’s more of a feeling and their own personal path. I believe most people, struggle with relinquishing control. How do you convince a prideful person that they need help and that they are broken without Christ?

The gospel writers portray him as claiming to be God that doesn’t mean he actually did. To be spiritual but not religious just means you believe in something more than the physical but are not dogmatic about it.

Truth is not an answer; Truth is a question. And if you ask the questions sincerely and follow the evidence, it leads to one thing: Our Lord Jesus Christ

Both are frowned on by scripture truth! Religious or Spiritual takes Christ from His rightful position as Lord! Roman's 10:9-10, Then Christ Himself prayed this :" This is eternal life, that they may know You the only True God and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. " John 17:3….. Relationship not Religion or spirituality! John 15:1-8, John 17:20-21, Romans 5:8, Ephesians 2:10, Revelation 3:20-21, All of chapter 2 of 2 Timothy!

When people say they are spiritual and not religious, I believe that what they mean is that they believe in the supernatural but don't follow Christ.
I aay it that way because most of them follow new age teachings and other teachings.

Thats really good you put the burden of proof on them to explain there position instead of defending God let them defend or try to defend a lie. Then when they can't you can say how wonderful and loving and beautiful our savior is and talk about Him all day effortlessly because its truth. Hes truth so much easier He doesn't need our help validating His existence no we can just well love Him all day long. I like that a whole lot better.
