Christianity is literally founded on the Jesus figure, they are inseparable. However, I have belief in neither.

What’s the difference between Christianity and following Jesus
He also decided to kill a fig tree for not giving him fruit. Not necessarily hating, but I don't know why that was put in the bible.

Just because you believe that he is reliable doesnt mean that you should worship him.
In islam the prophet muhammed (pbuh)
was reliable but muslims dont worship him because that is the definition of being a prophet that is being reliable to people by showing them miracles that god bestowed on him like splitting the moon in half, and mosses splitting the ocean, changing his stick to a snake, speaking to god etc

But that's not even an answer to why you would follow Jesus over other religions. Most religions have a profit so why Jesus over them? Why not follow Mohammed or Buddha by that logic

But Jesus did not rise from the dead. All we have are contradictory accounts of an empty tomb and a claim of 500 eye witnesses.
Putting your faith in Jesus may be beneficial but it doesn’t mean your going to heaven and it’s time to except that
We can prove he bled and died on a cross
But if god is powerful enough to send his son to earth, give him the power to turn water to wine, walk on water make the blind see etc then he is powerful enough to stop evil and infants wouldn’t be eaten alive

But the thing is Christianity isn't a religion, it's a term of having a relationship with Jesus Christ, and a community of christians sharing Gods word with other christians / people.
