  1. Moksha is markedly different than theosis in the West. Universalism is appealing to our egalitarian sensibilities , but it doesn't really hold up. There isn't a common underlying metaphysic.

  2. "Vedanta validates all the world's religions… it wants the Christian to become a better Christian, the Buddhist to be a better Buddhist, the Hindu to be a better Hindu…" etc…

So… Vedanta wants the Satanist to be a better Satanist? If Satanism is defined as the worship of evil, this can only mean Vedanta wants the Satanist to be more evil…

Seems to me that Vedanta tries to side-step the problem of finding truth by declaring 'everything is true'… which, of course, cannot be true, since we know lies exist, and some religions are actually based on lies… some on mistakes or misunderstandings, or perhaps misinterpretations sure, but some are based on outright lies, merely for the sake of the self-aggrandisement of their founders and/or priests/preachers.

To suggest that 'all religions are true' is to suggest that it is unimportant whether or not your religion is based on truth… Try telling that to the followers of Jim Jones, or of the Heaven's Gate cult… or any number of cults or 'religions' which are created merely to enrich their founders and/or priesthood.

  3. Grateful to you Swami ,there is such clarity in your talks 🙏🙏🙏🙇‍♀️❤❤❤,religion -this term is greatly misunderstood especially by the youth today..Your talk is excellent as always❤❤❤

  4. I really enjoyed this lecture, because I'm a confused soul, lol. I also used to identify as SBNR, up until I discovered Lord Shiva. Then I thought to practice Hinduism, but for some reason, after about 2 years of trying to fully immerse myself into bhakti yoga in the traditional way, I started to feel like I'm not doing things the right way, and I also didn't feel comfortable with the traditional rituals. So I gave up on the rituals. But I still consider myself a Shiv Bhakt. However, towards the end of this video, Swamiji said that spirituality without religion is laziness. So now I'm wondering, did he hit the nail on the head, or did I misunderstand what he meant by spiritual practices? Are rituals part of spiritual practices? It would be nice if he saw my question and replied, lol. 🙏🏽

  5. Hermetic genuinely insist that darkness and chaos ruled before "God was created " lol they think void was ruled by eternal beings above God and liberal find this acceptable smh tell me if God truth is light in all of existence existence is inherent Of light o awareness how did darkness and chaos rule over it let alone come before it ?

  6. Every religion have different code of conduct

For example – one can eat non veg whereas in other religion they are ban

But in the last – they say whatever written in their text is words of God (avatar) but may be not of supreme lord

For one – it is valid for others it is not valid

    I am not sure,

What i conclude – only karma (bhav) is important

  7. Such an important point to note that spirituality is not just a fad but a deep attainment. Also Vivekananda's 4 aphorisms are incredible and universal in spirit.

  8. This helped me so much with understanding how Vedanta does not have to be exclusive from religious practice that I misperceived as potentially separate from the Vedanta path.
