This channel is managed by the Krishnamurti Foundation Trust, UK, and by the Krishnamurti Foundation of America.

The role of the foundations was described by Krishnamurti when he said, ’The foundations will see to it that these teachings are kept whole, are not distorted, are not made corrupt. They will not give rise to any sectarian spirit in their activities… nor create any kind of place of worship around the teachings or the person.’

We maintain extensive archives of Krishnamurti’s original works and all four Krishnamurti foundations are actively engaged in the publication of material in various forms.

Our videos contain thousands of subtitles in more than 25 languages, translated by volunteers from all over the world. If you would like to help us with translating subtitles, please contact us at digital@kfoundation.org

  1. The mind doesn't know much about happiness…as it's always unhappy 😭… and crying 😂…Nature is always happy, whether it is a stone, plant, animal or mineral. It is always happy. As it has no other choice but to be happy. Man unfortunately or fortunately has a choice… To be happy or unhappy…that is the difference between man and nature…😊😅😂.

  2. This question also came 2 my mind. Its a fake oneness…u can Love the whole world unconditionally , though= just ur own Love pouring out…just view really get it or will value it or even notice it…being 2 busy…running beyond their lill storylines.

  3. Because the world exists in polarity. Happiness only exists in contrast to Unhappiness . We can't differentiate anything if there's no polarity.Likewise there's no sorrow without Joy.

  4. We don't know what happy is.. Thoughts just made a concept about something which is based purely in illusions…like any kind of Gods, religions, Nations, etc.

  5. K speaks – Initial Thought is I, consciousness, within your conscious form, initial thought is thought/action, direction from the collective consciousness, your limited forms line/role/action, no karma.
To rehearse the thought/action, within the theatre of the egoic mind, a limited seperate self, pondering thought/action with limited egoic knowledge and images/forms, then, alters thought/action, to egoic reaction of thought/action, karmic.
Performing your limited role, as limited conscious thought/action, is to follow the arrow’s path set for you, questioning your limited role, is to alter the arrow’s path, not as sent, as willed by consciousness, but as you choose, as your ego wills, egoic+karmic, then the ego’s happiness state is dependant on the karmic flow that the egoic mind altered.
Unaltered, thought/action is contentment, love, compassion and intelligence.

Be as an empty cup, an empty cup, does not alter initial conscious thought/action, the more full of egoic reactions, the more egoic/karmic.
An empty cup, contains images, forms, names, being, but, egoic reactions have been pruned away, to allow pure conscious thought/action, just as unhealthy vines should be pruned, to flourish.

Example – Initial conscious thought/action “ feed the hungry child before you”, thought/action done, child is fed. No karma.
To allow for egoic theatre of thought “will i go hungry if i feed the child”, “will the child return the favour”, “ will i receive reward”, “ can another do the task assigned to me”, all egoic reactive thoughts are of self, delays mean the child still hungers. as thought/action was not acted on, but reacted to. Karma arises.
rehearsal meaning "to go over again"

All, after thoughts, pre thoughts, fore thoughts, all egoic thoughts, are a source of mental illness, depression (thoughts of the past), and anxiety (thoughts of the future). The past and future do not exist, now , the present thought does not exist, nor does fear, as fear is egoic thought, not true thought/action.

  6. Maybe he was a good guy but i think a strong person to feel own strenght must use overpower to another one and u can compare that system to every other idea. In other words we are not living in heaven or hell. That's the diffrence. Maybe he couldn't understand the point of living naure at earth. Once again it's life and if u seek a balance in everything there is no one. Everything has own understanding of a full nature. And balance is a weakness. For example for truly and healthy understanding a personality that u are u must use your potnential , your force living in a cage isn't an an answer because u don't know options and restictions of. Experince of life requires good and evil to makes both function. There is no virtue to being good. Also master teaches because of his attitude imeditatelly, because everything is observing life itself. We can compare just an irony of lies.

  7. Ha ha, I know there were a lot of schools of thought in India when it was flourishing, and perhaps there were many materialistic schools. However, I also know that the most impactful ones were idealistic (contrary to materialistic). And when this man expanded the "I" is just like any human being is living today, I am my thoughts, I am my possessions, I am my family, I am the body. It can sound cool we have expanded the "I", but I believe this is the most nocive way of seeing the life, I will explain myself, more we feel indentified to external and transient things more we are going to suffer since we are dying or uptading constantly, it feels good when these changes are positives, but imagine you are getting sick, getting old, losing possesions, members of your family, you are going to suffer tremendously, your identity is very weak. And if all these things are changing constantly, am I really those things? And even the self doesn't exist, we are the joined of two worlds materialistic one and the spiritual one, just like anything in this world. It is very hard to prove the spiritual world, because whether it does exist we cannot prove it with materialistic experiments for it's nature is not materialistic; that's why sages do it with logic, love or mathematics to touch that divinity.

I am opposed what he thinks, I think less we feel identified to the physical world and more to a beyond world, we can be so much better human beings and with so less suffering if we choose the right principles.

  8. It’s important to realize which "you" Krishnamurti is talking about here. The suffering, fragmented sense of "me" or "I" is a structure brought about entirely by thought (the ego). So, yes, that particular psychological self is nothing without memory, and it is the self that is "gone" when the brain is gone.
However, the deeper unconditioned consciousness -the "you" that exists free from the ego's structure -is not who he is addressing in this specific answer.

  9. because one consciousness cannot see that it is part of one, so therefore, it is subject to itself, and the one it is ignorant of being a part.
indeed, what is a subject to itself is simultaneously the same one that is ignorant of the one it is part.
so it is not that extraordinary, or complicated to determine why one person is happy and the other person is unhappy.
the unhappy person see's another person, the truly happy person see's the same person.
all buddha would have to do , to miss, is to become aware of all reality, and then develop feelings, explanations or thoughts about it.
Then the buddha would be led to be the buddha that misses, because he is too concerned with himself or other things,
this is important because it means the one who has full awareness, must then conquer that, or he will himself conquer himself through his wrong views about things he see's,
what he really see's is beyond himself or the other, it is questionable whether there is a happy or an unhappy person there at all,
when we look at the causes and conditions for happiness, often two components are considered, or just one
either the outside conditions and environment for happiness are quoted as being the determinator of the reaction of the human being,
or, the inside conditions and environment for happiness are the determinator of the reaction of the human being.

if it is the former , nthen he is subject to outside things, and is not free from influence.
if it is the latter, then outside things are subject to him, and he is not free from influence, because other things are not free of his influence.
the person who is happy or unhappy is influenced, and the person who is neither is not.

because one consciousness cannot see that what is part of the whole it is therefore subject to its own conclusions, and any outside reality which their conclusions evade or misdirect. in other words the ones who are happy and sad is a consciousness that is directed, and a consciousness that is neither happy nor sad has no direction at all. the important question is , quantum mechanically of course, what is the difference between the two jewels, apparently, I hear that such measurement cannot be obtained. So those who are happy and sad, and can recognise it, they have come to measure it, and make estimations about the currents within the machine they call consciousness, with little regard to the machine with which they are running thru. I would estimate that if people wanted to learn more about these things they would see the secret hidden miracles of what magnetic currents and gravitic currents can do.

Either the monks are levitating, or they are not. The mind is pained by it's consideration, and therefore levitates very little.
I believe that unusual accomplishment is found in unusual places.
For example, if there were advanced civilisations beyond us, I would estimate that they would not communicate with those which evaporate dark matter from their skulls,
Of course, this reinforces the mystery, the final decision as to whether to eat from the tree of knowledge, is factored by one's ability to disentangle the currents of which the knowledge create, and the one who is making them.
Many believe the same individual only occurs once, for example, however they occur in many places, and I can make many copies. I suspect it will be a long time until mankind make these sort of discoveries, because, the direction of a metal conductor from east to west, must be accord only to it's own forces, not the forces of the earth or the cosmic force. Sometimes I spent long periods of time talking with my transformer, and it spends a long time talking to me. We are subject to eachother, and what it leaves on me is left on me, and what I leave on it, I leave there, so when there is one current, there is another current running in the opposite direction. I think that because of this there is enough time created for gravity to travel at the speed of light. However – these communications seem pointless – until they know what contact is – they will discuss the differences between happiness and sadness, they will discuss the thoughts, and they will think about them – until they have contact – they will continue discussing the thoughts and thinking long agonising and tenseful moments with them.

What if the enlightened masters are the most foolish among us? That chase the products of their own conscious machinery instead of the one that produced it.
