When you went to that other place in Chicago, you shouldn't have accepted the food. That lady attacked you. That is why the syrup bottle looked like a gun to you. Your orisha was showing you that you were being attacked but you didn't understand, so you went along with the program. The ifa spirit was warning you about what you were about to receive from her, but you didn't understand, and therefore, you accepted it. Know that everywhere people go to talk about God, the devil also go there to tempt them. Even Jesus of the bible was tempted when he went to the mountain. It doesn't matter if it's an ifa temple, a church or a hindu temple or a muslim mosque. The devil will always come attacking you in the form of witches. I have been attacked by witches in the churches, in african spirituality temples, and also in Hindu temples. Witches are everywhere. The ifa initiation allowed you see when you were being attacked. When you went back to the church, the dreams and visions stopped because you had the people stop it in the prayer. It doesn't mean that you don't get attacked anymore. It just means that you don't see the attacks or the attackers. Your babalawo should have also given you some cleansing herbs such as epo obo to cleanse after you have gone to a place where witches are. Anywhere you go and feel like the energy is off, always pray silently and when you leave the place, pray loudly and do some cleanse. It is not the Traditional religions that are bad. It is the witches who hate whenever people get together to do something divine and/or spiritual. They prefer you don't practice ifa and don't go to church so that you can be a spiritually weak easy meal for them. Africans spirituality has suffured from slavery, colonialism. Neo colonialism and it is now suffering from the Abrahamic religious believes.. the tradition need to be reorganize and structured ao that it can regain the glory it had in antiquity. It is the glory of african spirituality that buikd what is now being called Ancient Egypt.
Hello sis this powerful 💥 sadly for me I just got initiated unknowingly to what I was fully going into but after it all I realized I wasn’t cut out for this journey bc I’ve always been a believer of Christ!! Now I got this white dish I’m suppose to be praying to but ever since I got it I haven’t opened it bc it doesn’t sit well with me, I’ve prayed and asked God for forgiveness and same time even told the ifa priest I’m not interested and he asked to send it back but my spirt just want to see it that nothing extra is being done behind my back if I get it sent back so I’m at this point confused of what to do with it! For you to be titled as a priestess and call it evil meanwhile adopting a white Jesus is beyond me. I noticed a lot of people have psychotic breaks and seem just as wet behind the ears before the title. I believe not everyone can follow this path because they are not meant to carry that knowing. This is interesting so far. I'm only 14:29 into the video. The sacrifices sound similar to the sacrifice of Jesus and first communion, drinking the blood of Jesus Christ and eating his flesh. Thanks for sharing your story. I'm here to learn about the Yoruba religion because there has to be more to the story than tarot cards and oracle cards.

Spiritual stuff can be terrifying in general if you don't follow the specific methodologies and if you don't have guidance from a proper priest or priestess who has gone through a formal initiation. A lot of people self initiate now days and that's extremely dangerous.

Ive practiced this religion for over 7 years and the key here in my country is that people actually see Oxalá as Jesus and Orumila as God. They pray holy father, holy mary and all, they go to church normally and on weekends they have the gatherings with the spirits of ancestors as Exu and a femineine version of Exu. But they dont know the bible, at least all the people I met in this religion. They problem I found was that people didnt actually know the Orishas, they use their image as another form of angels, saints or even Jesus. I see a lot of them worshiping these spirits believing they are biblical figures. It's complicated
Thank you for sharing this. I had someone tell me that this is what she is in, but I had never heard of this religion before. She couldn't tell me much about it, and I was interested to learn more about it , because it sounded off to my spirit.
